A nu start
And so, welcome to my new forum. To my musings.
It has been quite the hiatus. Between the last entry and this, some eight years have transpired. I am still here, still learning. Trying as always to stay on the cutting edge of everything that catches my fancy.
But in so doing, I used to believe my expertise was less perhaps than that of the cognoscenti. But with time, I find myself turning into one. Stepping back a few, and realizing then, maybe I am not as clueless as I once believed.
Between then and now, the whole landscape has changed. While I was merely starting out with my journey in self-hosting, AI/ML, cybersecurity, etc. Today, I find myself battle-hardened, with stories and lessons learned.
And so I find myself wanting to write again. Perhaps to an audience of one, but hopefully to distill some musings into coherent words that I share publicly, will allow me to better formulate how I feel about the world we find ourselves in, increasingly.
This blog, my constant companion since 2007, has been an outlet of sorts. From cringe-inducing early entries (almost a diary) when I was but a child, to serving as a brain-dump of my Hackintosh forays, this blog has been my public forum. And so, in 2026, I wondered whether to start fresh or continue on.
I have chosen the latter. A student of history, I believe in continuity. It would be hypocritical of me to censor myself, especially as I espouse full disclosures.
For the technical part, I converted my self-hosted WordPress blog (that I have had since 2009) to Ghost. It was surprisingly easy, and I will probably post a musing about the process.
